Rewinding from Catastrophe: Morocco and Israel on the Eve of October 7 and Today
Abstract
“Rewinding from Catastrophe” examines the lead-up to and aftermath of the Israeli-Moroccan relationship in light of domestic blowback to the Gaza-Israel War. Anti-Israel sentiment in Morocco following Israel’s response to October 7 has been vehement. Strengthening diplomatic relations between the two nations depends on the extent to which the Moroccan populace remains loyal to a monarch who sees his Kingdom’s interests better served by a policy that engages with Israel rather than reject it.
